Recently Clutch.co interviewed Ivan Farber from Dynamicard about his experience working with Stratedia. Dynamicard is a direct mail company out of California specializing in direct mail, plastic postcard mailers and analytics. Here is a full-length unedited excerpt of the interview.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the owner of a medium-sized direct mail house. We direct specialty direct mail programs, mostly for multi-location retailers, restaurants, and service businesses.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Stratedia?

We did entry-level SEO work on our website, especially earlier in our company’s history. It was quite effective. However, as Google evolved, we faced more competition and needed to change our techniques.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Steve (Founder) asked questions about our services, our competitors, and what differentiated us from the competition. He also asked about what most people want from us. After looking closely at our efforts, Steve quickly identified that the techniques used on our site were actually counterproductive and then quickly corrected them.

Stratedia cleaned up our PPC campaigns and worked on our social media profiles. They also rebuilt our website, adding about 85 pages in 60 days.

What is the team composition?

I directly work with Steve.

How did you come to work with Stratedia?

One of my clients said that he didn’t quickly receive approval to re engage us because a company did an amazing job on his online presence. I asked my client to share the company’s name, and he introduced me to Steve.

How much have you invested with them?

We spend around $2,500 a month on their services.

What is the status of this engagement?

I started working with Stratedia in June 2020, and it’s ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We’re just a couple of months into the engagement, and Steve manages our expectations. However, we’ve already seen respectable improvements.

For metrics, we’re focusing on PPC traffic because it takes time to move a search term from page 150 to page one. We have a short term PPC goal, which has gone well. We’ve been writing orders from that effort. Steve also updates me once a month on the progress of our search terms. Those have all moved along at a nice clip.

How did Stratedia perform from a project management standpoint?

Steve is customer service forward. He’ll accept a text, email, or call. He responds at night and on weekends. He’s available when I need to talk to him.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’ve worked with a lot of SEO agencies. Stratedia seems to be the only agency that really understands SEO. I’m also impressed by their communication. A lot of companies will just take your money, and you’ll never hear from them again.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I can’t say there’s an area for improvement at this point. Stratedia’s one of my better vendors.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Identify your goals and objectives before you start the project. I don’t think Stratedia can do the best possible job if they don’t understand where you want to go. It’s difficult to build a program to meet someone’s expectations if they don’t even know their expectations.
